Jordan Hill

My name is Jordan Hill and I'm from Saint Joseph, Missouri. I am currently a Junior at Kansas State University with a concentration in printmaking. Originally, I intended on a concentration in drawing, but I decided on changing to a printmaking concentration because I found the medium to be very fascinating, challenging, and conducive to experimentation.

Having taken printmaking classes at K-State for about three semesters now, I am continuing to develop my understanding of composition, different methods of mark making to show form, and different types of printmaking used to create imagery. At this point, I'm still trying to develop my personal style, but I enjoy creating imagery of sea life and arthropods. I'm mostly interested in Intaglio, but I would also like to continue developing my skills in woodcut prints and learn screen printing. These are some of my prints from previous semesters and some in-progress prints that were interrupted last semester when we transitioned to online learning.
